Fitness & Personal Training

Overview

Research has shown that exercise is key toward keeping weight off. In addition, regular exercise can help improve cholesterol levels, decrease blood pressure, and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and metabolic syndrome. On a physical level, exercise helps to strengthen our heart, muscles and bones, and will improve flexibility and balance. Emotionally, exercise helps reduce stress, improve sleep patterns, and lifts depression and anxiety.

Maintaining a Healthy Weight

In order to maintain a healthy weight, it is important to remember that eating habits, physical fitness, and behavior change are all equally important. While the dietitians at WellQuest will set you up for success with a meal plan that fits your lifestyle, the behavior change and exercise are ultimately up to you! Take a look at the graph below:

Exercising Well

In order for exercise to be effective, it must be enjoyable. Very few people find success in a training program that causes boredom, confusion, or pain. The option is yours, but the goal is the same across the board - BE CONSISTENT!

WellQuest Promotes Personal Training

Because WellQuest does not offer personal training as a part of our dietetics program, we rely on building relationships with creditable organizations to help guide our clients in the right direction. In order to be referred by WellQuest, an organization must present a strong portfolio of success through trainer expertise, program regimin, facility quality, customer service, and word-of-mouth reputation.

It is imperative that any organization recommended by WellQuest share noticeably similar visions and goals toward health and wellness. The following facilities come highly recommended:
